Flexibility / Road conditions & Seasonal Timing
Rohtang Pass transit is regulated by National Green Tribunal (NGT) environmental quotas; passes are closed on Tuesdays for maintenance and shut completely during winter freeze (typically late November to May). During July and August, the Kullu valley experiences active monsoon showers; while morning starts allow clear trekking to Beas Kund, trail conditions can be slick, and transit plans require buffer time.
